The end in sight!

After over two years of uncertainty, confusion, and searching in the dark we can now see the light at the end of the tunnel! I now understand the merits and strengths of my case against Ford and Firestone in a clear and tangible way (as opposed to emotional.) We have a clear trial date: October 19th of this year - put this on your calendar and in your prayers. We have a clear budget of what it will take to survive through the end of trial: $72,000. The good news is that we have raised roughly $20,000 of this already!

When I experienced a spinal cord injury on the afternoon of November the 19th, 2002, it became immediately clear that a great deal of organization, creativity and plain hard work comprised the road ahead for me and those who would take this journey with me.

Forefront in this line of action has been my brother, Ira, who has put his life on hold to come and live with me and support my recovery efforts with the stability of his presence. (My current condition requires that I have around the clock care.)

Also instrumental in making this journey possible has been my father, Lane whose organizational skills and broad network of contacts have facilitated the smooth transition into my current life situation as well as the required fund-raising.

From the very first moments of my injury, I knew that I would look upon this event as a great opportunity for me to grow in myself, and to be of service to others.

This is a gift I take very seriously and so continuously work to see the light in my situation and to learn from all that it has too offer.
