Poetry Is Small
Poetry is small
feelings are much larger
The poet Rumi has said:
"I'm so small, how can this great love be inside me?
Look at your eyes: they are tiny --
yet they see enormous things"
Perhaps this can be a poem
and work like eyes
Knowing you
is a sweet scented breath
of the jasmine gardens
in spring
Thank you for being
a friend
on the way
Poetry is small
but love,
like the truth
cannot be hidden.
